NeuroKinetic Therapy® is a manual therapy that works with the motor control center of the brain and nervous system and it's role in musculo-skeletal injury, pain, and movement dysfunction.
NeuroKinetic Therapy® works directly with the nervous system in finding out WHY the muscle is tight, painful, weak, or achy, and helps the body balance out the strain on these tissues, thus making the pain resolve, and movement improve.
We create substitute movement patterns when we are injured. Essentially muscles or tissue can become weak and “shut down” following injury, while others become forced to work overtime and make up their shortcomings. This concept is known as the body’s “muscle compensation patterns.” The NeuroKinetic Therapy® corrective movement system protocol uses a system of precise muscle tests and has the ability to change the programming of the Motor Control Center (MCC) in the cerebellum. The MCC coordinates all movement patterns in the body.
NeuroKinetic Therapy® is an excellent modality in rehabilitation and manual therapy because it not only identifies the cause of pain and dysfunction, but also corrects it very quickly and quite painlessly.
